You Are Never Too Old To Lose Weight
I have heard people saying - 'I am too old to lose weight now' - Is it true? Obesity has many adverse effects on our lives, especially on our health and to get rid of obese structure you need motivation and it is of course not age-bound. You can lose weight at any point in your life. We mostly see people losing weight in their early ages due to any of the reasons including peer pressure but it is not a rule of thumb. One of the most common reason why people don't tend to lose weight as they grow old is that with the increase in age people lack enough motivation to lose weight.
Some people think that as you grow old the idea of losing weight is simply not practical. But this is not true! Rather one should understand the fact that old-age obesity is indeed a sign of danger. In old ages body is exposed to different diseases due to low immunity. By losing weight a person is protecting oneself from different health problems. Now the question is what can motivate an old person to weight loss? It can be simply the idea of a healthy life. It is a fact that after the age of 35 many emotional, physiological and hormonal changes occur in our body. No doubt aging makes weight loss a little harder because aging brings with it lesser activity and loss in lean muscles (causing lower metabolism rate) which results in weight gain. Women start gaining weight before menopause due to decline in secretion of estrogen (Female hormone).The other reasons why women gain weight as they grow old is that due to menopause women tend to exercise less increasing inactivity, eat more or burn fewer calories. But nevertheless adopting some of the healthy lifestyle tips like muscles strengthening exercises and balanced diet one can lose weight no matter how old he or she is. Taking part in daily walks is yet another easy way to keep oneself fit. Other than walking, older people must find good ways to be active. For example, if you have grandchildren you can keep yourself busy with them which will also increase your metabolism and playing with them keep you happy and joyful. This will keep you stress-free which is a very important factor in losing weight as stress causes weight gain. Low fat, fruit juices, high and fiber diet is very important in this weight loss journey. Although a better life style, proper exercise and proper diet is very helpful in losing weight but this is also true that old people feel more stressed during exercises and the feeling that they are old is a major de-motivator when it comes to weight loss. Once you manage to convince yourself that you are never too old to lose weight you will automatically start finding healthy ways to lose weight. Take the support of your friends and your family in this whole process. Just remember you can definitely lose weight if you are motivated to live a healthy and happier life; just never let yourself feel that there's no point in losing weight as you are old now. |

Yes I'm also with you. The weight loss is not restrictive to people age just the exercises are differ in nature. So it is good to exercise in all ages to keep you fit and fine.
