Great Healthy Salads
There are many people who are not fond of salads just because they feel it's too many vegetables. There are things you can add to a salad to make it healthy and better. Some of the things you might be thinking about might not be the healthiest for you. We have some toppers that might be great for any salad that you would love to have at any meal or for a snack.
Ham is always something great to add to a salad. Its protein right there and everyone needs protein. It is also low in the two things that people fear the most when they diet. This is calories as well as fat. This is great for those who love a little bit of meat on their salads. It is also said to bring out other flavors and goes well with those other flavors. Something else that many salad bars have out for you to add to your salads are sunflower seeds. Now, you might be wondering about these and honestly when we started dieting. While you might wonder about these, they are one of the healthier things that you can add to your diet. You will find that when you look at things that they contain, they contain three essential vitamins. These vitamins are Vitamin E and B1. However they also have two different minerals in them. They are magnesium as well as tryptophan. Almonds are yet another thing that you can add to any salad. There are a few things that they contain that can really help you with losing weight. These two things are calcium and protein. Then there are a few other things that many people don't know about. They are B2 and Vitamin E. That's something everyone can use a little bit more of. If ham isn't your cup of tea, then maybe you need another choice of meat. If this is so, then that choice could be grilled chicken. Again, with grilled chicken just as you do with ham, you get an extra source of protein. That's something that people who diet need a lot of. You can also get this source of protein from roasted turkey. With roast turkey you need to take the skin off. If meat isn't your thing, but fish is many people use salmon. This is quite high in the realm of calories. We suggest that if you want to add fish, then you use tuna. This can really enrich any salad. Just you wait and see for when you try it. The last thing that is great for any salad to add a little topping to it is cheese. This you want to use in moderation. Too much can be too fattening, however, you can monitor how much you put on it. So, keep that in mind with all these toppings. While they give you calcium and things of that nature, you will find that in moderation, these things are fine. This can make any bland salad into a salad you will be sure to enjoy. Articles published under this account were directly sent to this website by several authors. Yes, I say salads are a great way to go. I like spinach leaves and salmon. I also put in fruits like strawberries and oranges. I also put raisins in mine too!

RE: Great Healthy Salads
Salads are awesome for weight watchers as long as one is very careful about the salad dressings. Most of the salads bought from the fast food joints come with very rich salad dressings that can be of very high calorie content. Homemade salads are the best with very less olive oil and lots of vegetables. Try to make your salad as colorful as possible.
