Eat Less by Staying Happy at Work
Many of us find that work aggravates us and therefore, we get fed up with work then find that we eat constantly as a result of that. Well, what if you were able to stay happy at work and thus decrease how much you eat? Well, here are some techniques you can try to help you stay happy at work. Try these and see how much they can help you. You might just be surprised.
One of the first ways is to make your area your own. Add some photographs or something of that nature. When you feel more at home in your area, work doesn't seem that much of a drag. When you find yourself getting a little more stressed, you can retreat to that little world of your own. Another thing you can do to make yourself happy at work is to make sure you keep your space organized. Those loose papers that you have sitting on your desk, try straightening them up. When you do this, you clear yourself some space so you don't feel cramped up. All too often we get so deep in work and clutter that we have to go to the vending machine or get that cup of coffee because we have let things get too bad. For those of you, who get the munchies at work rather easily, and then try getting them away from you. Don't keep snacks at your desk. When the boss lays into you, you will find yourself grabbing for them and before long, you will wonder why you have packed on the pounds. Take frequent breaks. While we aren't telling you not to take breaks, we don't want you running for food all the time. Get up and stretch, make a phone call. Do all that you can to stop yourself from reaching for the candy you have on your desk or more. This is something we can all do a little bit more of. A lot of us stress eat because we take on too much. When you are being asked to do something that would involve more of your time, say let me think about it if you are unsure if you can handle it. This way, you aren't overdoing yourself as many of us find ourselves doing. All too often we say yes and then look at how much we have to do and then find that we can't do it. This is not a good habit to start. The last thing that we suggest you do is leave work at work. When you are off get off. Unless you get paid overtime or you are fighting to keep your job, then when you are off take off. Don't take just one more call. Don't answer just one more email. Go take that time for yourself. You have well deserved the rest of the night or day off. When you do this, you can care for yourself and fit the other things it requires to lose weight into your busy lifestyle.
