The Doctors New Challenge for Obese Kids
Doctors are made aware at how many children suffer from being obese. Many of them if they are not obese, they are well on their way. The percentage rate of eleven year olds is amazing at how many of them are classified as obese. Young African American girls of that age it estimated that one out of four of them are obese.

With this sad reality the things that adults had to worry about like liver disease and cholesterol are things that our children have to worry about. This is due to the fact of a number of reasons. Parents aren't home to monitor meals. Parents don't have time to cook so the boxed meals have taken over the common household. There are a million different reasons for childhood obesity. So, doctors find themselves in the position to teach parents to have other alternatives when they come home.

There is something else that doctors are finding. Kids aren't being urged enough to take part in activities that will remove them from the television and into the idea that they should be active. What used to be a world where there were little leagues and what not, parents don't have the time or the money for that. Nor do children have the interest in that because parents don't encourage them to do this. Therefore, this plays a hand in the child obesity movement.

Doctors are finding that they either have to challenge children or they have to prescribe exercise to a child's diet so that this gets done. Is this fair to the doctors? No, it's not, but many doctors say that they are in this fight to help kick the idea of child obesity in the butt. If they have to they will make the condition that the child needs to follow a strict diet and needs to join a sports team.

This has been seen to happen in some cases. What comes about of this is not only does the child lose weight and gain a sense of a healthy lifestyle. Their emotions are boosted because they are doing this. They feel better about themselves. They are interacting more with children their age. Parents are proud of the children as well. There are social, psychological, and emotional as well as physical reasons that this should be done. They see all these good things. That is why the active lifestyle is becoming the new challenge for doctors when it comes to their obese patients who are children. Could this mean hope for a few of their patients? They like to think so.

The harsh reality is that many people in the nation are just settling and coming to terms that teenage girls predominately are going to be obese. Though, there are some restaurants who say they can help and do their part, there are clothes lines that don't even care that these girls are obese and open up more and more plus sized clothing stores. While some are against helping them, it's good to know there are a few people left in this society who care about how these girls turn out.
