The kinds of benefits that we get from yoga are immense and have far reaching effects in improving one's quality of life. Along with improving one's health and helping us loose a few kilos of our excess fats it also enriches the mind and soul. The various asanas that are practiced in yoga gives amazing physical fitness and is proved to be very effective for resolving various health disorders.

The important physical benefits attained through yoga are

* Increment of flexibility: The asanas or yoga positions impart its effects on different joints of our body, including the ones which are never thought to be exercised and as an overall effect increases body flexibility.

* Increment of lubrication of ligaments, joints and tendons: The various postures and positions of yoga are quiet scientific and exercise different ligaments and tendons of our body. If yoga is practiced properly then it is seen that bodies which are quiet rigid attains remarkable flexibility, even on those parts that has not been worked upon consciously. The different yoga positions seems non strenuous and unrelated, but it acts on some of our body parts in an interrelated way. All the physical benefits that we get from practicing yoga is just little compared to what is actually does. It creates a harmony between the mind and body which results in enormous benefits. This connection between body and mind has resulted in extraordinary physical abilities; where the will power fuels the desire achieve the impossible. This would not have been possible if there was no harmonic coordination between the mind and the body.

If meditation and yoga is done simultaneously then it works remarkably in order to attain this harmony as well as helps the body to work in synchronization with the mind. Many a times we are not able to perform our task satisfactorily and don't get fruitful result. This is because of the fact that our mind is not stable and the thoughts and confusions conflict with our focus and produces a telling effect on the performance. More over the effect of stress combined with the situation make it worse. Stress affects all our physical, emotional and endocrinal system and it can be cured through meditation and yoga.

The process of meditation and yoga helps one to attain a state of eternal bliss, as both of them concentrate on achieving a common goal – unity of body, mind and soul.

The practice of yoga with meditation helps to overcome distractions, and also to achieve emotional balance such that we are sometimes unaffected by any activity of the surrounding world. This makes your mind clam and also increases the ability to focus on a particular subject. This gives a positive outlook and benefits the physical and mental health of our body.
