Ways to reduce pregnancy weight of your wife for a safe delivery
How to help your wife to reduce pregnancy weight - Although it is a very sensitive issue, but the studies reveal for safe and easy delivery, would be mother should be very careful in the matter of her weight gain during pregnancy.

Considering that the BMI (body mass index) before pregnancy is normal corresponding to the height and weight, the weight gain during pregnancy should not take place more than 10 to 15 kilo grams at the most. If the weight gain is more than this it is a serious issue to be dealt with at the earliest.

Careful Weight Watch approach:
The situation calls for careful watching any further weight gain and efforts should be to keep it at the present level by selection of non fatty food, mild to moderate exercises and morning and evening walk at least for 30 minutes.

The role of husband in such sensitive issues is to be caring and supporting instead of criticizing. An appreciative approach of the husband shall be more effective in keeping the weight gain under control, than any other taunting talk or measures, which shall upset the mood, which gives encouragement for overeating.

The Golden rule is, to say something to the wife you love, which may not hurt her feelings, it looks bit difficult practically. The best approach is not to say of some thing you want her to hear, it should be some thing she needs to hear.
At this juncture saying your wife after a loving talk, its good occasion to lose weight, which is something she needs to hear and further add in the interest of your baby’s good health mother’s affection for child is so strong she can die even for the child.

Weight gain takes place on two counts. The number one being a normal situation that there is fetus growing inside and the second is eating more food to provide nutrition for the growing fetus. There is no reason to worry how one looks in the abdominal region. But corresponding abnormal increase in weight is a matter of serious concern, which is not good for the pregnant lady as well as for the normal health of unborn child.

Delicate handling:
If the husband proposes for loosing weight during pregnancy, the wife can feel ill about, but if about the same advice from the gynecologist, who shall be helping in the delivery, is very specifically taken, it shall be appropriate and effective.

Because the gynecologist can talk to the pregnant lady safety factors in pregnancy and convenience in delivering the baby if weight gain if present is curbed under medical advice and care.

Right Choice of Food:
This is a period during, which health fat free food choices should be adopted, which are easy to digest and provide adequate nutrition both for the pregnant wife and the growing fetus. At all costs keep away from junk foods, processed foods, sweets, ice creams and cakes.
Curbing weight gain during pregnancy in fact is following the discipline, and the husband also needs to be disciplined. If the husband eats all type prohibited foods and expecting the wife to remain away from it shall be against the discipline being imposed on the wife and gives impetus to break rather follow it during pregnancy. No to unhealthy overeating is road too success for keeping the weight under control.
