Underweight? Ways to gain weight in a healthy and safe way
Even though obesity is one of the major problems faced by most of the people around the world, there are some cases where being under weight causes some problems. When we speak about body weight, being both underweight and overweight cause problems and your weight should be balanced with a balanced diet. There are many easy ways to gain weight in quick time. If you are seriously looking some ways to gain weight in a safe and healthier way, then you have to do some home work to decide what type of food you have to consume.

Some risks associated with being underweight:
Many have the feel that being underweight is more comfortable than being obese. But this not the truth, there are equal amount of risks associated with being both underweight and overweight. So, you cannot afford to be underweight. Some of the risks and problems that may occur in people being underweight are given below.

First, people being too lean have the more possibility of having a weaker immune system. We know that our immune system is responsible for preventing our body from attacks from foreign particles or any diseases. It protects our body from many infections and is responsible for quick recovery from illness, etc.

Apart from the immune system, underweight persons have lesser mass in their muscles and low growth in their teeth, hair levels, etc. They also seem to have very weak bones making them weaker eventually in all aspects. Women with lean structure find irregular menstruation cycles and sometimes they become inefficient to menstruate at all.

Add fatty foods to your diets:
Consuming junk foods like pizza or foods with more fat content is not at all a good way for weight gaining. The amount of saturated fats and the Trans fats in the junk foods are really unhealthy and may cause other problems like heart diseases, lower lung performance, etc. The main idea behind gaining weight is to consume foods having higher calories, but you have to make sure that the source of calories should originate from good and healthier food.

Generate calories by expanding your regular meals. Make sure that you have regular three meals a day. Also include various nutritious foods in your meals like starchy foods like pasta, bread, potato, etc and try to eat vegetables and fruits. Include proteins like chicken, fish, red meat, butter, etc. in your meals.

Make sure that you are not consuming any non-caloric drinks and beverages like green tea, coffee, diet soda, etc. Since you are looking to gain weight try to have 1% milk or fat free milk as it will help you gain some weight. Try to have healthy snacks for at least three times a day. Taking potatoes, peas or corns, which are denser in calorie levels will help you gain weight quickly. Apart from having foods that contain high calorie levels, you need to exercise regularly for gaining muscles which will eventually reduce the accumulation of unwanted fats in your body.
