The Perils of Plastic Surgery (for Weight Loss)
Who goes under the knife to achieve what you could gain through dedication and hard work? Thousands of people believe it or not, even the entire country of Brazil has embraced the practice of cutting and slicing our way to beauty, but at what cost? What are the instances of recurring weight gain? Believe the fact that they are quite high because surgery never addresses the root problem of weight gain and we all know what those are. Maintaining a sedentary lifestyle devoid of exercise, and fed with the richest of process foods, people tend to balloon in size.
Not only is all this weight carried by our fat stores the extra weight is carried in water, water that the body is unable to process because of other things that are going on like the inability to get rid of unwanted sodium once you've reached a certain threshold. Your body just holds on to it, contributing to weight gain, but it's just illusory. This weight gain can rapidly be brought under control when you control mineral absorption by the body, so no more salt. And so people who have resorted to surgery for weight loss run the risks of having it all return after a said amount of time. This recurring weight gain has hundreds if not thousands taking their lives in their hands in order to achieve an idea of beauty which is mostly externalized anyway. There are several different types of plastic surgery available to those who wish to augment their appearance, and with each of these procedures comes possible complications that can and sometimes do jeopardize people's lives, resulting in years of therapy. And all of this can be avoided by doing something as simple as resigning yourself to the fact that in order for you to lose weight you've got to change your eating habits, and incorporate a healthy exercise schedule into your life. It's for your best interest that you take this route rather than the surgery route. With massive weight gain, the options become more and more limited because of the lack of movement that the extra weight affords those that carry it. They become less and less likely to lose the weight simply because they struggle to do the most basic of actions, that most skinny people take for granted, like sleeping without snoring, and waking up because of it. It's called Sleep Apnea, and it can be deadly. It's just one of many problems that obese people experience, and again it can all be avoided with a proper diet and regular exercise. Unfortuenetly people will continue to run to the surgeon, in order to become beautiful, but you have to understand that beauty comes from the inside first, and before you address the root problems that cause weight gain, you should figure out why you are willing to go under the knife to achieve your goals… Are you unable to stick to something? To, commit? Perhaps there are other problems that need to be addressed before you worry about cosmetic issues. |
