How To Lose Weight At Home
We often see stay at home moms who are depressed about how they look but are not willing to do anything about it. It can be very frustrating to just stay at home and not be able to go to the Gym for a workout but Gym is not the only way to lose weight and stay healthy. Same results can be achieved even by staying at home, sometimes even small changes in our lifestyle can make a big difference. Here are some tips to lose weight even if you are at home:-
* Keep the junk food out of your sight, mainly because more you will see it, the more you will crave for it. Keep fruits and healthy snacks handy instead. Fruits like strawberries, cherries, watermelon, apple etc. are very low calorie fruits and can be eaten at any time. * Include a lot of fruits, vegetables and whole food in your daily diet * Always use a healthy cooking oil for all your cooking. For example Olive oil is a much better choice than other cooking oils, butter or margarine. * Try to use non-stick pans and pots for cooking because food can be cooked in very less oil. * Try to saute where deep frying is required. Also try to remove the excess oil with the help of paper towel. * Try to make minimum use of salt, sugar and oil in your cooking. * Avoid sour foods like vinegar, hot and sour soup for dinner. * Never go to do your groceries with an empty stomach. An empty stomach will make you indulge into buying things that you would not have otherwise bought. * If possible, keep a treadmill or any other exercising equipment at home, this will give you the flexibility to workout at your own convenience without having to go out of the house. Also, you will be able to exercise while watching TV if that interests you more. * It is recommended to workout for 3 to 4 days a week and for 40 minutes a day including Cardio exercises and some weight lifting. * Try to have your dinner atleast 2 hours before bedtime. Sleeping soon after eating can make you put on weight. * Do not drink water right after the meal, wait for atleast 10 minutes before drinking water or any other fluids. * Warm water after meals is better than cold water. Just heat the water up a little bit before drinking, this will help in losing weight over time. * Love your body, only then will you be motivated to lose weight and to lead a healthy life. * Do not make these changes for a short time, try to make these as permanent changes in your life style. * Do not get your car washed at one of the gas stations, do it yourself instead, this will not only save you some money but also help burn some calories. * Gardening is another good way of working out. Plant seasonal or any other plants of your choice and take care of them your self. * Try to park your car far way from the store that you need to go to, so that you are able to get a little workout. * This is my personal opinion about weight loss and a healthy lifestyle, one must always consult a doctor before taking any drastic steps to lose weight. |
