An Obsession To Lose Weight
Are you over-obsessed with losing weight? Amidst all the issues that confound the modern man, the one that has found relevance with every one transgressing time and position on globe, is undoubtedly the health issue. Almost every human has at one time or the other felt a concern over his or her weight gain. This endemic concern has righteously earned for itself an important pedestal in every one's life that commands utmost attention and intrigue.
The concern does not limit itself to shed just a few pounds or to trim a few inches of the waistline. It often seeps through into putting in constant effort to maintain what you achieved and thus at times giving even more time to it than you would have imagined. But when does one come to know that it has taken up way too much space than it might have required. Where exactly to draw a line between being cautious and obsessed? Many weight watchers, who embark upon a weight loss plan, dedicate a part of their daily time to the workout regime they follow. Likewise, many who intend to target their weight troubles by monitoring their diet also spend a significant amount of energy every day in making sure that they eat just the right things in just the right amount. But what has been seen to follow for many of these is a tendency to be engulfed totally by the thought of being in a weight loss plan. And sadly, the target of achieving a better physique that they set out for is never reached, since it got changed every time they got closer. When on a weight loss regime, a lot of people make the mistake of letting it take over the rest of the activities that they used to do before they entered the regime. In an attempt to make their efforts in one domain the most effective, they often sideline the importance of other things that carry on in their lives. Many have been found to have been compromising on their work front just because they had forced themselves to stay on a hungry stomach all day long. By making it seem as a weight loss attempt, they let their profession suffer just because by overemphasizing and misunderstanding a healthy diet plan, keeping focused and active for their work became too much daunting a task. This logic often extends to more varied causes and far graver consequences. Straining yourself too hard by over rigorous workouts often leaves you with very less energy to pursue any other productive activity all day long. A workout is supposed to be refreshing and rejuvenating. You must put in sweat and effort but not on the cost of your output that is required of you from your family, profession and even by yourself. Letting all your time be invested in an obsession and not realizing it could both be unhealthy and irresponsible. Try always to strike a perfect balance between the health and other frontiers that need your attention. Always set your health highest in the pecking order and do not be carried away by over commoditization of bodies. Focus on a healthy body while you never get swayed from your actual path. |
