Weight Loss Surgery Could be Addicting
Many people want to find ways to get rid of the fat through weight loss surgery, but did you know can be addicting too. They lose weight, but then they forget that if they have excess body fat, that fat has to be dealt with. One way that many look to getting rid of this fat is by having surgery. However, there are also surgeries that help them to lose the weight. Something that is becoming more and more of a problem is that people are becoming addicted to these solutions and could really hurt their body.
The one surgery that more and more people are having is widely known as bariatric surgery. This is used for those people who are extremely obese. Something had to be done as those people could never lose the weight on their own that it would take to make them healthy again and researchers knew this. As more and more researchers looked at this information, they found that depending on your background you either had a high potential of having this surgery done a number of times or a low potential. The percentage depending upon you background left a range of five percent of people to have repeat surgeries all the way to fifty six percent. What they found was age and body mass index had a lot do with those who had a high percentage. Of those who had this repeat surgery, they found that forty year olds who were considered to be obese were more likely to become addicted. Many can see why this is though. You might ask why someone would want to go through that surgery again. We wondered the same thing. The researchers of this study wondered it as well. That is when they found three initial reasons. The first reason was that they weren't satisfied with the results. They found that they didn't lose as much weight as they wanted to and opted to have it again. Some of us wonder if we could ever do that, but think about it, if you had your heart and mind settled on something then wouldn't you go for it? The next reason they found was that they had a few nutritional problems. This caused them to have this done again. This was done once they took care of their nutritional problems and found what worked best for them in order to lose weight. The last thing that they found was that sometimes something was blocking the digestive track. They would have to unblock it and then have it done all over again. While this is safe for the most part the first time around, having this done a number of times increases the chances of dying or other forms of things that could go wrong. This is becoming an obsession that can really hurt people. So, if you are thinking about this surgery do see if there are any other options available. You might be saving yourself from a lot of complications if you can find another route to go. Articles published under this account were directly sent to this website by several authors.
