Fed up with your Exercise routine? Alter it, but do not give up.
Never give up on your Exercise routine - Every year thousands of people identify their weight troubles and take an initiative to lose weight. But not everyone is met by success. Some come out with flying colors and a reduced waistline but probably an even larger number of them flounder to make any headway at all. What is easier than taking up an elaborate diet and exercise plan is to give up midway. Losing weight might not be rocket science, but neither is it something that one could sleepwalk through. All that is needed by a successful regime is resolution.
A pivotal aspect of every weight loss program is exercise. Be it to carve abs or just to lose flab, exercise can work wonders for anybody. In many cases, people complain of having taken up an exercise program with full vigor on the onset but not meeting the expected results in the end. As a matter of fact, after a few weeks of an unsuccessful weight loss regime, many end up being more overweight than ever before. An ideal exercise routine that could actually lead you to lose weight would be one that holistically strains the body to the optimum level and brings out a stronger you. But what could turn an ideal routine into an unsuccessful one is a fickle minded weight watcher. Everyone must have seen those days when you had all your exercise knickknacks ready, but you just could not scrape up enough energy to go for the gym. Or when your alarm kept ringing and all you got up for was to turn it to snooze. The good part about such breaks in routine is that they happen to everybody. The bad part is, they have to be gotten rid of. Barring a few unavoidable breaks, loss of continuity in your exercise regime could cause intermittent weight loss patterns that could actually work against your target. For those who have been there and for those who have not, it is worth mentioning that the sense of achievement that one gets on seeing the weighing machine a notch lower due to your untiring efforts, is truly transcendental. It is one of those few moments where you could pride yourself without being accused of being complacent. This strategy has worked wonders for many. Try to set your immediate targets that you wish to achieve. Focus your attention and effort to the accomplishment of this one target only. You would observe that a sense of hopefulness can induce a lot of motivation in you. Once you see the target as achievable and within reach, you would not be tempted to have a break from your routine and would try to stay put. If you feel that you need to exercise more to reach the target you set, then you could alter your exercises and thus keep from swaying from the timeline. You could mix and match different sports, exercises and routine so that your regime does not become monotonous. Varying the sequence, time of the day, or having company while you exercise could also prove effective in fighting the humdrum. 'Resolution is the key’ is what needs to be remembered all along.
