Major Health Hazards associated with obesity unearthed for your reference
If I will compare obesity with cancer it will not be a wild statement or an exaggeration of emotions. Obesity can cause you as much damage and problems that you cant imagine. I am writing in this forum to make you more aware on the possible health hazards linked with obesity. Literal meaning of obesity is accumulation of excess fat in body causing adverse effects on health and life expectancy. In men the obesity starts form the abdominal region while females are prone to gain weight in the lower waist and thigh regions. You must have observed that all over weight men carry a huge belly but you will not find the same in women. Genetic development of men dictates their tendency to start accumulating fat in the abdominal region. If a boy who is not obese but have started developing belly is a big indicator that your hormones have started malfunctioning or else you are feeding yourself extra calories (fat). The boy must immediately reduce the intake of calories and start exerting himself more than regular. Women on the other hand develop big hips on account of fat deposition. Stagnant and docile lifestyle affects women much faster in terms of weight gain than men.

Body mass index (BMI) is a dominant index that can guide you whether you are gaining or loosing weight. As soon as one crosses the boundary levels of BMI, he must immediately trigger his diet control and physical activity. The calculation to evaluate once body mass index (BMI) is your weight divided by your height in meters. Suppose your weight is 75 kilograms and your height is 5feet 10inches (1.778m), then your body mass index (BMI) will be 75/1.65 = 42. Now, what does this figure of BMI means? A body mass index (BMI) in the range of 25.0-29.9 indicates you are over weight. Any values of body mass index (BMI) above 30 means the person is over weight.

The biggest hazard of obesity is heart disease. Basically obesity is the root cause of fifty percent of all body ailments but heart the most badly affected organ due to over weight. Obesity causes and severe cyclic malfunctioning, firstly because of bad eating habits you become obese, in you will get obese your physical activity will come down due to exhaustion. If your physical activity goes down, means you are consuming less calories. Your metabolic rate begins to fall. Hence you body becomes incapable of burning extra fat. This extra fat gets accumulated in your body making you fatter. A fat person also has a bad psychological state of mind, in depression he eats more and become doubly obese. Due to increase of weight and excess deposition cholesterol deposition in blood arteries, the ability of heart to pump blood to organs gets severely effected. This results in blockage of arteries resulting in heart attacks and failure.

Other health hazards of obesity are diabetes, high blood pressure, osteoarthritis, even leading to cancer. If we can control obesity our major health related worries will vanish in thin air.
