There are different tricks that you can use, to enhance a bland plate that has no character, and provide you with enough calories to maintain your energy and a vibrant attitude, there are several things that can add a zing to your diet and make you have the uplifted attitude that seems to be contagious at all the local gyms that so many of us are afraid to go to. A few of us should know all about that. First off you’ll want to avoid crash dieting, and be lenient about what you eat, but eat moderately. Take your time, and relax.

You should restrict your calorie intake to a point where you feel comfortable, you should drink plenty of water, make sure to drink filtered water, because you don’t really need all the chlorine and fluoride, especially if you are trying to lose weight, because these two chemicals have been shown to make your body hold on to water weight. Perhaps a good water filter would do you some good.

You should never substitute exercise for anything else because this is the most important thing you can do, to felicitate this entire process. There are several calorie calculators out there that you can use to find out exactly how much calories you should be consuming in order to maintain a decent weight. They are a list of parameters that indicate if you are at your optimum. Don’t forget to walk run and where available, bike. You really should look into buying a nice comfortable real bike that you can use on your weight loss journey. This would be a great addition to your weight loss regimen, as well as to your family, think of the family bike rides you could go on with them.

You should avoid snacks between meals, especially those that contain lots of sugar calories and those that contain tons of preservatives, because those again have been shown to cause water weight to stick to us. And this is not something we need when we are trying to lose the weight. You can replace all these snacks with healthy alternatives, like a well made salad, with oil and cheese and different leafy greens. You can have a nice green tea, rather than coffee, there are tons of different things you can do, to substitute those other naughty items.

If you add a bit of lemon juice to your green tea, you will sweeten it and add a whole different dimension of taste to their palates. Why wouldn’t you try some of this stuff? It’s good for you, even if you don’t stick with it, you will receive some of the benefits in the short term, but you have to try to find out don’t you, I mean it’s free and you don’t have to go out and buy an expensive “planned” diet. It’s up to you to lose the weight, and no one is going to do it for you. Do it now.
